THE PAUSE // PLAY // ESCAPE CONCEPT
WHAT MAKES A PAUSE // PLAY // ESCAPE HOLIDAY DIFFERENT TO THE USUAL YOGA & MEDITATION RETREAT?
// Leave the 6am alarm for work days, not holidays and join us on the terrace for a late morning, easy to handle yoga session to get you going //
// Try out some modern meditation techniques to calm the monkey mind and create some brain space //
// Take a lovingly prepared healthy, energy fuelled breakfast and juice and relax by the pool or head off an explore //
// Indulge in a full-body, expertly tailored massage / bodywork session in the comfort of our retreat venue //
// Lounge around the pool or terrace or retire to your unique room whenever the mood takes you //
// Take advantage of our insider knowledge and see the side of the island that interests you most (not what the guidebooks tell you to do) //
WHY PAUSE // PLAY // ESCAPES??
WHY WE CREATED A RELAXATION, MEDITATION, YOGA AND MASSAGE HOLIDAY (WITH A DIFFERENCE)...
We have crafted Pause // Play for hardworking urbanites who spend most of their time on the go, Pause // Play// Escapes has been developed as a balanced affair for those wanting a change from either the full-on 24/7 retreat/detox program incorporating a vegan diet and strictly no alcohol or the 100 mph holiday with too much indulgence that leaves you feeling exhausted.
In 2011, I (Cat), swapped being ‘crazy busy’ in a 24/7 work and social life in London for a more relaxed pace in the mediterranean as a body-worker and natural health adviser under the banner butterflytherapies.com Pause // Play was my way of exploring some modern ways to create space in a busy life, whilst still allowing the experience-hungry time to explore on their holiday.
“My friends and I wanted it all on our precious time off, exploring a new country, a beach or skiing holiday, a few nights out and most importantly time to slow down. I realised that no-one really offers that kind of combination ”
I (Lisa) moved back to Malta in 2014, fresh from my escape from London where I ran corporate & private events. No stranger to working 60 hour weeks and socialising on top, I found my yoga classes were the best way to maintain my health and sanity during that period and that inspired me to become a yoga teacher. I created my own LahLah yoga school in Malta, and through LahLah I met Cat. We began talking about our backgrounds and the benefits we both gained from the holistic approach to health and decided Pause // Play // Escapes would be a perfect way to share that wisdom wider.
