We have crafted Pause // Play for hardworking urbanites who spend most of their time on the go, Pause // Play// Escapes has been developed as a balanced affair for those wanting a change from either the full-on 24/7 retreat/detox program incorporating a vegan diet and strictly no alcohol or the 100 mph holiday with too much indulgence that leaves you feeling exhausted.
In 2011, I (Cat), swapped being ‘crazy busy’ in a 24/7 work and social life in London for a more relaxed pace in the mediterranean as a body-worker and natural health adviser under the banner butterflytherapies.com Pause // Play was my way of exploring some modern ways to create space in a busy life, whilst still allowing the experience-hungry time to explore on their holiday.

I (Lisa) moved back to Malta in 2014, fresh from my escape from London where I ran corporate & private events. No stranger to working 60 hour weeks and socialising on top, I found my yoga classes were the best way to maintain my health and sanity during that period and that inspired me to become a yoga teacher. I created my own LahLah yoga school in Malta, and through LahLah I met Cat. We began talking about our backgrounds and the benefits we both gained from the holistic approach to health and decided Pause // Play // Escapes would be a perfect way to share that wisdom wider.
Lisa & Cat have over 20 years of experience in the mind-body field between them.
WHAT CAT BRINGS TO PAUSE // PLAY: MASSAGE, MEDITATION AND MORE FOR YOUR RELAXING HOLIDAY
Cat will bestow upon Pause // Players some magical techniques for creating a bit of space in a busy world. Poaching from modern science and pilfering from ancient wisdom, she'll be sharing some tips that will blow your mind, and then, as if that wasn't enough you'll get to experience one of Cat's marvellous massages. Described as magical, heavenly and wise, Cat's hands are her secret weapon.
Pure ninja, Cat likes being underwater, turning cartwheels, beach barbeques, travel and adventure, crunchy food, good cocktails, dancing... really dancing, mother nature and fairy lights.
She will not be your friend if you try to make her eat okra, force carrier bags upon her in the shop, demand she spends more than 30 seconds in chair pose or are at all mean.
She wishes she had more hats but is wildly content with everything else in her life.

Lisa will be leading you through blissful poolside morning yoga practices where we will actually, physically salute the sun (not like when we pretend to in those stuffy, indoor classes!). We will stand up & balance, stretch & fly, bend back then forward, twist & turn, & breathe it all out. Helping you find your own space in the chaos we live in.
Blending hatha, vinyasa flow and yin and tailoring the sessions to suit your needs and preferences. In her teaching, Lisa focuses on simpler poses, but done with full engagement & breath, preferring to teach healthy, functional movement as opposed to extreme backbends or arm balances. But, of course, if you want to learn headstand, Lisa can help. Want to find your own breath in chair pose, she's your woman.
Lisa likes sunshine and blue skies, turquoise seas, a glass of rose, real belly laughter that makes you cry, the colour coral, jasmine, honey, dancing, herbal tea, mangoes, yoga twists and lizard pose.
Dislikes: plough pose, gherkins, cottage cheese, milk, whiskey & queueing.
